Be the Master
Limited Capacity filling up

Ever wonder why the old "Master/Apprentice" relationship existed back in the day - or why it's more or less fallen by the wayside in our modern world? Ever wonder if you were ready to "Be the Master," to find an apprentice, and help them toward their own success? Ever think about what it would take to achieve the personal success needed for you to serve as a confident "Master" to the apprentices around you? Don's thought a lot about it, and in his book, Be the Master, he outlines his own approach, learnings, and life lessons. In this Side Session, Don will lay out the broad strokes for you, and open the floor to questions about how you can attain your own Mastery. A limited number of print books will be available for sale ($5).

Lean Coffee - Is that just decaf coffee with fat free milk?
Nope!  "Lean Coffee is a structured, but agenda-less meeting. Participants gather, build an agenda, and begin talking. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting was democratically generated."

Lean coffee style meetings are used in many meetups.  But it could be a useful tool for hackdays or just to try something different.

In this side session, we'll layout how a Lean Coffee meeting works and then get straight into a Lean Coffee meeting (BYO coffee)

Literate DevOps (Jupyter, PowerShell, & logging)
By Joel Bennet: I'll do a demo of Jupyter and the PowerShell Kernel that I've created, and talk briefly about literate programming and what literate DevOps is and could be.
I hope we can have a conversation about how we can get significantly better documentation of our automation and processes, including better logging of outcomes.

This talk will look at the main approaches that are used, common pitfalls, and some of the best practices that should be used to make developing the module and its functions as low effort as possible, with a look at how this can then be extended to make publishing the module easier.

Summit feedback
Limited Capacity seats available

The PowerShell Summit has grown and evolved over the last six years. We're always looking at what we do to ensure that we meet the needs of the attendees. We have some ideas for 2019 and beyond but this is your opportunity to provide feedback direct to the organising group. We're specifically interested in what you think about:
- Content. Is the level correct? is the topic balance correct? Are there topics we're not covering and should cover
- What do want the PowerShell team to present on?
- Are the Community Lightning Demos a good idea?
- What do you think about iron Scripter?
- What do you think of the social events?
- What about the size of the event? is it too small? Too big?
